Wodden Mobile - Pelican
Handcrafted mobile, fair trade
This charming pelican will put a touch of poetry and a seaside reminder in your home or in your child's room
Each mobile is made with love in a solidarity workshop in Colombia offering fair working conditions to disadvantaged people.
By adding a touch of poetry to your interior, you will also be supporting cultural preservation projects for the indigenous Wounaan tribe. For the realization of each pendant, wooden panels are cut by hand, then painted by hand with paints in accordance with European standards for babies. The cords are made of natural hemp.
The decorations are organic tagua nuts: a vegetable ivory used for hundreds of years by the Quechuas to make jewelry.
The recycled and compostable kraft gift box is included with the mobile
If you expose it outdoors, keep it dry
Wash with a damp cloth
This mobile comes from fair trade.
A portion of each sale goes to Afro-Colombian artisans displaced within Colombia by the war.
These indigenous artisans had to leave their native villages in the rainforest and adapt to city life. Currently, these funds are used for emergency medical supplies in remote villages and for the construction of a new workspace.
