Carcassonne is a tile placement game in which players draw and place a tile with a piece of southern France landscape on it. The tile can represent a city, a road, a cloister, a meadow or a combination of these elements. It must be placed next to tiles that have already been played, so that cities are connected to each other, roads to roads, etc ...
After placing a tile, the player can then decide to place one of his pawns on one of the areas that make it up: on the city as a knight, on the road as a thief, on a cloister in as a monk or on the grass as a farmer. When this zone is complete, the player owning the field scores points.
