After France's defeat in June 1940, the Royal Air Force (RAF) and the Luftwaffe clashed during the summer and fall of 1940 in the first all-air battle. The Battle of Britain is the prelude to Hitler’s imagined landing, Operation Seelöwe (Sea Lion). The last bastion in the west is within reach of the German armies, but the brave British pilots resist valiantly, aware of the consequences of defeat for their country and the free world.

With this Wings of Glory - WWII - Battle of Britain base set you can experience aerial duels between the Aces of the Allies and the Axis. Defend England by piloting one of the war’s most iconic planes, the Supermarine Spitfire, or complete perilous missions at the helm of the mighty Messerschmitt Bf.109 fighter. Wings of Glory is a game system that allows you to simulate the air battles of the two World Wars, using aircraft miniatures and their Maneuver cards. You can control one or more planes and face each other in duels, but also perform specific aerial reconnaissance or bomber escort missions.
