In 1897 in Brussels, the International Exhibition opened under the sign of Art Nouveau, an artistic current which has been constantly developing since Victor Horta had designed the house of his friend Autrique in 1893, then met the family. Solvay in 1894 and started to impose its style through its many constructions.
In 2013 the Brussels 1893 game was released at Pearl Games, on the theme of the first Art Nouveau houses.
This year, it's Brussels 1897's turn to tell us about this incredibly rich period of Belgian art. This card game version is aimed at a wider audience. Its mechanics, based on that of Brussels 1893, is both simpler and just as deep. Those who know the board game will find in Brussels 1897 all the sensations and the playful pleasure that made the success of Brussels 1893.
